OUR STORY

IT ALL STARTED
AS A BACKYARD PROJECT.

Peter never set out to invent a new way to support young trees. He simply wanted to grow two straight, healthy Jacarandas in his own backyard. While remodelling his garden with his wife Sue, he noticed that many trees in the neighbourhood, despite being supported by wooden stakes and rubber bands, were still leaning or growing at odd angles. Determined to find a better solution, Peter searched for tree-staking products but found nothing that provided the right balance of structure, adjustability, and care. Over the period of 2 years prototypes were built in the home garage, first prototypes were made from Polypipe and PVC. Australian Patent granted then 3D printed to complete the design.

The first prototype was fitted to his newly planted one-metre-high Jacarandas, and after 18 months, they had grown into strong, perfectly straight 3.5-metre trees. During that time, he also developed an integrated watering system to deliver moisture directly to the roots, ensuring the trees had everything they needed to thrive.

What started as a simple backyard project became The Tree Nurturer, a smarter, more effective way to support young trees. The same innovative design that helped Peter’s Jacarandas grow tall is now helping gardeners, landscapers, and councils grow stronger, healthier trees across Australia.
