In Western Australia, various local councils offer free street tree programs to residents, allowing them to request or adopt a tree to be planted on their verge

Request Process:
Residents typically need to submit a form or contact the council's parks department to request a tree. 

Maintenance
Residents may be required depending on council to water and look after the tree over the next few years.
